William Rush is a retired pharmacist with a theology degree. His work has appeared in magazines throughout Australia and overseas. His second collection, Shocked Stars, was published by Ginnindeera Press (Canberra) in 2006. Aware of the mystery that accompanies the poetic process, he likes Thoreau’s description of its outcome as ‘healthy speech’.
